Last round told us exactly which piece of our drawing code is at fault, and it
also caught our first fix attempt quietly cutting the picture in half — so it
was worth doing carefully. This round is built to be the last one: it tries every
fix we could ship, plus a completely different way of drawing, so whichever way
the results fall we will have our answer.
What happens
Nine quick screens, about a minute and a half. Tap Looks fine or
Looks wrong on each. We expect screen 1 to look wrong — it is our
starting point. Everything after it is a possible fix.
This is what the test picture should look likeThe word IRCODE, a square grid, two round circles and a
colour bar. Please check the circles are round rather than tall and squashed, and
that all four things are there — last time a screen went wrong by dropping
the top half of the picture rather than by smearing.
